MODEL RELEASE

The Agreement serves as a model release giving Xiao Photography the irrevocable right to use the photographs in all forms, in all media and in all manners, without any restriction to changes or alterations, for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes. Photography can grant use of the images to third Parties and all compensation for use and credit for the images remain the property of Xiao Photography. Clients waive any right to inspect or approve the photograph(s), finished version(s) incorporating the photograph(s), or the use to which it may be applied, including written copy that may be created and appear in connection therewith. This release is binding on the Clients, legal representatives, heirs, and assigns. 

The above clause is included in every agreement Xiao Photography sends out to her clients. This permission allows Xiao Photography to show her work across media platforms in order to showcase her work, book the next client, and share with vendors.

Condition I:

If you want to remove the permission entirely, a non-usage fee of 25% of your package price will be applied to your contract to compensate Xiao Photography’s loss on marketing. If you are not comfortable with this non-usage fee, Xiao Photography respects your privacy concern and may not be the best choice for you.

Condition II:

Sharing without names: The clients still grant Xiao Photography the rights to share the images for her purposes but wish to remove the full names. Xiao Photography may use Initials to mention. No fee applied.

Condition III:

Pre-approval: Xiao Photography will submit her favorite photos for the clients to take a look and decide which photos the clients feel comfortable for her to share on social media platforms, websites, and blogs. Clients may reject up to 70% photos Xiao Photography suggested. No fee applied.

Condition IV:

Limited Marketing: Xiao Photography will only share the clients’ photos on her own website and Instagram but waives the right for promotion, exhibition, and trade purpose. A partly-usage fee of 10% of your package price will be applied to your contract to compensate Xiao Photography’s loss on marketing. If you are not comfortable with this partly-usage fee, Xiao Photography respects your privacy concern and may not be the best choice for you.
